Fire Prevention
Thanks for stopping by the Fire Prevention page for Crowder's Mountain Fire & Rescue. We take Fire Prevention very seriously at our department!

Our station offers various programs and classes, to help educate the general public when it comes to fire and injury prevention.

One important tool we use to educate kids is our smokehouse. We invite schools, church groups, summer camps, and community organizations to come to station 1 and experience our smokehouse. It is a fun and interactive tool that we use to help install life lessons in fire prevention to the youth of the area. While you are at the station, you will also be given a full station tour of our facilities and trucks.

If you would like to schedule a time to come see the smokehouse and take a station tour, fill out the form below. Please note: we are unable to take our smokehouse outside of our response district. However, you are still invited to come to our station for the smokehouse and station tour. Please limit groups to 10 or more people.

Please take the time to look at the tips for adults and kids on the right side of this page. Also please take a look at the Fire Inspection Checklist and Fire Escape Plan and PRACTICE THEM WITH YOUR WHOLE FAMILY!

As always this page is a work in progress. If you would like to see anything added, feel free to drop me an email at pio@cmvfr.org. Thanks for checking out the page.

Residents get your Emergency Address Signs!
These signs help us find your home or property in case of an EMERGENCY.
Having your property correctly identified is crucial in case you need to call 911.

They are only $15 per sign, or $20 with the sign mounted on a steel post.
These signs also help raise crucial funds for the Fire Department.
